A group of children from a military school in England are sent off to safety. Their plane crashes on a deserted island and no adults survive. The boys quickly leave behind their principals and descend into the survival of the fittest with the strong boys hunting for the young and weaker ones. As all the trappings of civilization fade away, the boys become animals and chaos ensues.

A gut wrenching account of how fast our civilized human facade can be stripped away and we meld into the animal kingdom. I found this a scary thought as it wouldn't take much for our society to revert.
