Troy - Shield of Thunder

The war in Troy is looming, and all the kings of the Great Green are gathering, friends and enemies, with theirTroy - Shield of Thunder - Book Reviews for the Average Joe own dark plans of conquest and plunder. Into this maelstrom of treachery and deceit come three travellers — Piria, a runaway priestess nursing a terrible secret, Kalliades, a warrior with a legendary sword, and Banokles who will carve his own legend in the battles to come.

Meeka says:
Not quite as good as the first in the series, it took a while for this one to get going, but once it did, it really took flight. Course it was about halfway through the book before it all became interesting again. Almost as if Gemmell was not as interested in the new characters he created until he had them meet up with Helikaon and Hektor's allies. In any event, the book was a worthwhile read, and I'm still looking forward to book 3.
