Tui T. Sutherland is named after a rather noisy New Zealand bird. She loves lost civilizations and post-apocalyptic stories, and she has recurring end-of-the-world dreams (perhaps a side effect of being a Buffy fan!). Tui was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived all over the world before ending up in Boston, where she now resides with her husband and her dog, whose superpowers include hiding half-chewed things in the couch and woofing at noises no one else can hear. Tui is also the author of the first book in this trilogy, Avatars Book One: So This Is How It Ends, as well as This Must Be Love.

VictoriaHolmesgrew up on a farm in England, where she learned to ride at the age of two. When she wasn't riding ponies and hand-rearing calves, she enjoyed reading and writing stories of her own. She studied English at Oxford University, where the beautiful ancient buildings and sense of tradition inspired an interest in history. Victoria now works in London as a children's book editor and escapes to the English countryside whenever she can to ride horses and walk her dog, Missy.


Kate Cary is one of the authors of the Warriors novel series. She writes under the pen name of Erin Hunter. The other authors who also write the Warriors novel series under the pen name Erin Hunter are Cherith Baldry, Victoria Holmes, and Tui Sutherland. Kate Cary has also written the book Bloodline, and its sequel Reckoning. She was born on November 4, 1967 in England. Currently lives in a city in the north of England. She lived in Scotland for 12 years but moved back down to England in 2004.
Kate Cary wrote the books Into the Wild, Fire and Ice, and Rising Storm of the original Warriors series, Dawn of The New Prophecy, Firestar's Quest, The Sight, and Dark River of The Power of Three. Her website says that she is working on a novel dedicated to Bluestar before she became leader. The books Bloodline and its sequel Reckoning are a series about the descendants of Dracula, with romantic, and dynamic twists, written in the form of letters and newspaper articles.
Cherith Baldry, born Lancaster, England; is a writer of fantasy fiction. She grew up on a farm and worked with house cats. For a while, she took up the job of teaching, but gave up in order to become a full time writer. She currently lives in Reigate, England. Baldry collaborates with Kate Cary and Victoria Holmes under the pen name of Erin Hunter. They write a series of books called Warriors, in which wild cats strive for peace in their territories.Baldry studied at Manchester University and then St Anne's College, Oxford. She worked both as a teacher and a lecturer. She was married to the late Peter Baldry, a scientist. Her two sons Will and Adam were adults when her husband died. She now lives with her two cats, Bramble and Sorrel, who are characters in the Warriors books (Brambleclaw and Sorreltail, respectively) in Reigate.
