Gabriel has been sent to Vienna to discover the truth being the bombing that wounded an old friend. While he's there he encounters something that's from the past and that he thought was long gone. While searching for the answers to both incidents, he will cross the globe and enter into an evil that has been in place for 60 years and is a part of her personal nightmare.

Well, it was an interesting read, but I get the feeling that Silva is really stretching himself now as the Allon series is selling so well. This book was lacking and I found it forced in places.
